IC693MDL930Functional Description


The IC693MDL930 is a discrete output module designed for use in the GE Fanuc Series 90-30 PLC system, now under Emerson Automation. This module features eight individually isolated normally open (N.O.) relay contacts, each with a 4-amp resistive load rating per point. The IC693MDL930 is compatible with both Series 90-30 and modern RX3i/RX7i systems, supporting motor starters, solenoid-actuated devices, and indicating lamps. With a wide voltage range,IC693MDL930discrete output modulecan operate at 24 VDC or 120-240 VAC, with voltage ranges from 5-30 VDC and 5-250 VAC at 50/60 Hz.

 

Each channel of the IC693MDL930discrete output modulehas individual isolation, allowing it to function at different voltages, which ensures maximum operational flexibility. The module supports high current ratings, with a 20-amp maximum per module for UL installations and a maximum inrush current of 5 amps. For resistive loads, each output can handle up to 4 amps, while the minimum load is 10 milliamps. Additionally,IC693MDL930discrete output modulefeatures an internal power consumption of 6 mA when supplied by a 5-volt bus and 70 mA when using a 24V relay bus on the backplane.

 

The IC693MDL930discrete output moduleis also designed with reliability in mind, offering 1500-volt isolation between the field side and logic side, as well as 500 volts of isolation between channels. With LED indicators on the module, users can easily monitor the status of each output point. The module’s operating temperature range is 0 to 50°C, and it is ideal for industrial applications where robust and flexible output control is required.
