By utilizing non-contact eddy current sensing technology, the MMS6220 captures the peak-to-peak excursion of the shaft surface relative to its geometric center. This data is essential for preventing catastrophic damage caused by unbalanced forces or rotor-to-stator contact. The module serves as a primary protection layer for high-value assets like steam turbines and centrifugal compressors, ensuring they are not brought up to full speed while a shaft "bow" is present.
