The GE PCI-5565PIORC-110000 is a high-performance Reflective Memory (RFM) node card designed to facilitate deterministic, real-time data replication between independent computing systems. Unlike traditional network interfaces that rely on complex software stacks and protocol overhead, this VMIC-engineered card creates a shared memory abstraction across multiple nodes via a high-speed fiber-optic ring. When data is written to the local 128MB RAM on one node, the hardware automatically updates the memory on all other nodes in the network with sub-microsecond latency.

This "reflective" architecture is essential for mission-critical applications such as flight simulation, industrial power plant control, and high-speed data acquisition. By eliminating operating system overhead and bus contention, the PCI-5565PIORC-110000 provides the microsecond-level synchronization required for complex Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and multi-processor environments.
