Product Overview

The ICS Triplex T83114C is a specialized fiber optic Transmitter/Receiver (Tx/Rx) unit designed to extend the communication bus of the Trusted™ Triple Modular Redundant (TMR) system over long distances. This module acts as a high-speed bridge between a local Trusted Controller Chassis (T8100) and remote expansion chassis. By converting standard PECL (Positive Emitter-Coupled Logic) electrical signals into optical pulses, the T8314C allows for geographically distributed I/O architectures while maintaining the high-speed synchronization required for SIL 3 safety applications.

This specific "C" variant features a professional conformal coating, providing an additional layer of protection against moisture, dust, and corrosive chemical vapors. This makes the T8314C an essential component for offshore platforms, refineries, and other harsh industrial environments where atmospheric contaminants could otherwise compromise sensitive electronic circuitry.

The T8314C is engineered to maintain the fault-tolerant nature of the Trusted system through redundant signal paths and robust hardware design.
