To ensure optimal performance, install the PW701 in a well-ventilated cabinet with at least 50mm of clearance around the cooling vents. When connecting the AC input, utilize 2.0 mm² (AWG 14) or thicker wiring to minimize voltage drop and heat buildup at the terminals.

Engineers must verify the grounding resistance remains below 100 ohms (Class D grounding) to protect the module from surge damage. For redundant setups, connect each PW701 to a separate power circuit or UPS branch; this prevents a single upstream breaker trip from disabling the entire DCS node. During hot-swapping, ensure the locking screws are fully disengaged before pulling the module, and wait at least 30 seconds before re-inserting a module into the same slot to allow internal capacitors to discharge properly.
