The Yokogawa AAP135-S00 S2 is a high-precision pulse input module designed for integration within the CENTUM VP and CS 3000 Distributed Control Systems (DCS). This module specializes in capturing frequency-based signals from field devices such as flowmeters, tachometers, and motor encoders. It effectively converts pulse trains into digital values, allowing the control system to calculate instantaneous flow rates, totalized volumes, and rotational speeds. Engineered for high-speed signal detection, the AAP135-S00 S2 provides the deterministic data required for complex industrial metering and velocity control.

High-Speed Signal Acquisition With a supported frequency range from 0 to 10 kHz and a minimum detectable pulse width of 40 µs, this module is optimized for high-velocity measurements. A rapid 2-millisecond data update cycle ensures that the controller receives real-time information, minimizing latency in high-speed control loops.

Rigorous Channel Isolation To prevent signal degradation and protect the system backplane from field-side disturbances, the AAP135-S00 S2 provides 500 V AC isolation (for one minute). This isolation exists both between the system and field side, as well as between individual channels, ensuring that electrical noise or ground loops on one circuit do not interfere with adjacent measurements.

Efficient Power and Integration Designed for dense control cabinet environments, the module is compact and energy-efficient. It utilizes a pull-up resistance of 68 kΩ and maintains a low thermal footprint even when operating at its maximum current consumption. Its lightweight, 0.3 kg build facilitates easy installation into standard Yokogawa I/O racks.
