By mechanically linking the actuator to the diaphragm, the EV250B ensures reliable opening and closing from 0 bar up to 10 bar. This makes it an ideal solution for gravity-fed systems, closed-loop cooling circuits, and industrial vacuum applications. The internal design features a mechanical connection between the solenoid armature and the diaphragm. Upstream Filtration Requirements

Because the EV250B utilizes a diaphragm for its assisted lift mechanism, it remains sensitive to large particulates. Install a 50 to 100-micron strainer upstream of the valve inlet. This prevents debris from interfering with the diaphragm’s movement and ensures the valve achieves a bubble-tight shutoff.

Mounting Orientation for Vacuum

For vacuum applications, always install the valve with the flow direction following the arrow on the body. While the forced-lift mechanism allows for various mounting angles, we recommend installing the coil in the vertical upright position. This orientation prevents condensate or particles from collecting in the armature tube, which can impair response time.

Coil and Electrical Termination

Ensure you utilize the correct Danfoss "Clip-on" coil for your specific voltage (24V DC, 110V AC, or 230V AC). Always use a plug with a functional gasket to maintain the IP65/IP67 rating, especially in environments prone to washdowns or high humidity.
