DC Power Wiring

  • Supply the CPU from a 24 VDC source within the specified 20.4 to 26.4 VDC operating range.
  • Provide suitable upstream DC protection and isolation.
  • Observe DC polarity when wiring the power terminals.
  • The DC power supply circuit is not isolated between the primary and secondary DC power supplies.
  • Consider the specified 30 A maximum inrush current for 20 ms during cold start when selecting the DC supply and protection devices.

Sourcing Output Wiring

  • Confirm that the field load circuit is electrically compatible with sourcing transistor outputs.
  • Verify the common wiring arrangement before energizing connected loads.
  • Separate output wiring from high-current motor and contactor conductors.
  • Use suitable suppression for inductive loads where required by the external circuit.
  • Do not interchange sourcing and sinking output wiring without verifying the complete field circuit.

Ethernet Installation

  • 100BASE-TX supports Category 5 or higher UTP/STP cabling.
  • Keep Ethernet wiring separated from high-energy switching conductors where practical.
