Rear Slot Wiring and Grounding

  • Slot Lock: Insert only behind a 3500/15-04 Low Voltage DC supply. Mixing with 129478-01 (HVDC PIM) or 125840-02 (LVAC PIM) violates backplane keying and will not seat.
  • Torque: Tighten terminal screws to the value stated in the 3500 System Installation Manual. Under-torque raises contact resistance; over-torque strips the block.
  • Conductor: Size for full rack draw from the 24 VDC source. Do not parallel the 133300-01 output with any external 24 VDC supply.

Is the 133300-01 hot-swappable while the 3500 rack is live?
Only if the second 3500/15 supply is installed and healthy. With dual LVDC supplies, removing one PIM does not drop the backplane. Single-supply racks must be de-energized before PIM extraction.
What fuse is fitted inside the 133300-01?
The replacement fuse listed for the Low Voltage DC PIM is 01720045 (5 A slow-blow class). Do not substitute AC PIM fuse 01720025; voltage and time-delay characteristics differ.
Can 133300-01 accept 48 VDC from a telecom battery bank?
No. Rated input is 20 to 30 VDC. 48 VDC sits outside the 3500/15-04 regulation headroom and will open the internal fuse or damage the input filter stage.
Does the PIM perform voltage regulation itself?
No. The 133300-01 is a passive filtered input interface. Regulation to 24 VDC backplane power is executed by the mated 3500/15-04 supply module, not by the PIM.
