Aubo Robotics Scales Industrial Power with High-Payload G Series Cobots
The industrial automation landscape is undergoing a significant transformation as manufacturing facilities move beyond traditional light-duty collaborative tasks toward more demanding, high-mass applications. Addressing this shift,Aubo Roboticshas introduced the G Series, specifically the G35 and G40 models, designed to bring substantial payload capacities and high-precision force feedback to environments like automotive assembly, heavy welding, and large-scale logistics.
These new cobots are engineered to redefine the utility of collaborative automation in harsh industrial settings. The G35 offers a 35 kg payload with a 2,100 mm reach, while the G40 is optimized for a 40 kg capacity. Despite their impressive lifting capabilities, these units maintain a compact footprint—boasting a base diameter of just 315 mm—which is critical for retrofitting into existing, space-constrained production lines. A key highlight is the payload-to-weight ratio of up to 1:2.73, making these robots remarkably agile for their class.
Precision is managed through integrated joint torque sensing, which provides up to 5% full-scale accuracy in force detection. This allows for real-time adjustments, ensuring that the robots can handle delicate material interactions and heavy assembly tasks with the same level of care. To support this level of responsiveness, Aubo has integrated a high-speed EtherCAT communication bus, enabling a 1 kHz control frequency. This architecture, paired with vibration suppression technology, facilitates high-speed operation—up to 6.4 m/s at the end-effector—while maintaining a repeatability of ±0.05 mm.

Operational flexibility remains a cornerstone of the G Series design. The systems are powered by a 96 V control platform, representing a marked improvement in energy efficiency and thermal management over previous 48 V iterations. Users can interface with the hardware via the G-Pendant for precise, wired control or the wireless G-STICK, which allows for remote operation within a 10-meter radius. By supporting Android and HarmonyOS through the AuboStudio software, the series provides a modern, accessible interface for complex programming tasks.

For heavy-duty environments, the G Series is built with IP67-rated protection and an explosion-resistant architecture. These features, combined with the ability to operate across extreme temperature ranges, position the G Series as a robust solution for high-heat machining, cold storage operations, and intensive painting or component handling processes. As manufacturers continue to prioritize flexible production systems that do not compromise on power, the integration of smart sensing and high-speed motion control in the G Series offers a clear path toward more efficient, automated workflows.
