Configured for low-voltage DC power conversion in the 3500 Machinery Protection System, the Bently Nevada 3500/15 114M5330-01 (3500/15 Low Voltage DC Power Supply) converts a 20 to 30 VDC source into regulated rack power distributed through the backplane. The module is a half-height design installed in the designated power-supply position of the 3500 rack.

Model Identification

The 114M5330-01 is identified as the Low Voltage DC version of the 3500/15 Power Supply. It is a current-generation 3500/15 supply and should not be confused with the legacy 133292-01 Low Voltage DC Power Supply.

The manufacturer documentation states that either installed 3500/15 supply can power the complete rack. With two supplies installed, the lower position operates as the primary supply and the upper position operates as the backup supply.

TSI Power Architecture

The 3500/15 is part of the power architecture supporting continuous machinery monitoring. Its regulated output is distributed to the installed 3500 modules through the rack backplane rather than functioning as an individual field signal interface.

The power supply incorporates line-noise filtering and internal self-monitoring. A front-panel Supply OK indication reports the condition of the supply output voltages.

For rotating machinery monitoring applications, the module therefore provides the DC power source required by vibration, position, speed, temperature, and other installed 3500 monitoring modules. It does not perform eddy-current probe scaling or vibration signal conditioning itself.

Ordering Info

  • 1 x Bently Nevada 3500/15 114M5330-01 Low Voltage DC Power Supply Module
  • 1 x Installed power-supply module assembly
  • Power Input Module, rack-side interface, only when included with the specific supplied assembly
  • 1 x External accessory set only if explicitly included in the product configuration

The 3500/15 power supply and its associated Power Input Module are separate hardware elements in the 3500 power architecture. The current-generation LVDC supply is associated with the 114M5335-01 LVDC PIM.

Field Installation Guidelines

  • Install the module only in the designated 3500 rack power-supply position.
  • Confirm that the external DC source remains within the 20 to 30 VDC input range.
  • Verify DC polarity and field wiring before energizing the Power Input Module.
  • Keep DC power wiring physically separated from low-level vibration and transducer signal wiring where practical.
  • Maintain proper rack grounding and bonding according to the 3500 installation documentation.
  • For redundant operation, install the second supply in the designated upper or lower power position.
  • Before removing a supply during operation, confirm that the redundant supply is installed and operational.
  • Do not treat the 114M5330-01 as a signal-conditioning or monitoring module; its function is rack power conversion and distribution.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can the 114M5330-01 operate from a 24 VDC source?

Yes. The specified low-voltage DC input range is 20 to 30 VDC, which includes a nominal 24 VDC instrumentation supply.

  • What output does the module provide to the rack?

The supply provides regulated 24 VDC power with a stated +/- 1% output tolerance for distribution through the 3500 backplane.

  • Can two 3500/15 supplies be installed together?

Yes. The 3500 rack supports dual power supplies. The lower supply operates as primary and the upper supply as backup.

  • Can this module be removed while the rack is operating?

Yes, when a second power supply is installed. The redundant supply maintains rack operation while the other supply is removed.

  • Does 114M5330-01 process vibration signals?

No. It provides electrical power to the rack. Vibration and machinery measurements are processed by the appropriate 3500 monitoring modules.

  • What is the maximum stated input current?

The available technical data specifies a maximum input current of 10 A at 20 VDC. Actual current depends on rack loading.

  • Is 114M5330-01 interchangeable with 133292-01?

No. 133292-01 is identified as a legacy Low Voltage DC Power Supply. The 114M5330-01 belongs to the current 3500/15 supply generation.

  • Where is the power supply installed in the rack?

It is installed in the designated power-supply position on the left side of the 3500 rack. Dual supplies occupy the upper and lower power positions.
