Antaira Enhances Industrial Network Reliability with New High-Performance PoE Switches

Antaira Technologies has expanded its portfolio of industrial-grade managed switches with the introduction of the LMP-2804G-4XS-24-T and LMP-2812G-4X8S-24-T models. Engineered specifically for harsh environments and critical infrastructure, these new networking solutions address the increasing demand for high-density, low-voltage power distribution in sectors ranging from automated manufacturing and wastewater treatment to utility grid management.

At the core of these switches is a commitment to thermal resilience and mechanical durability. Both units are rated for operation in extreme temperatures spanning from -40 ℃ to 75 ℃. By utilizing an advanced fanless thermal design, these switches eliminate the need for moving parts that are prone to failure in dusty or vibration-prone industrial sites. This passive cooling approach not only reduces ongoing maintenance overhead but also ensures consistent performance when handling the thermal load generated by Power over Ethernet (PoE) devices.

Each port across both models is capable of delivering 30 W of power, facilitating the deployment of IP surveillance cameras, high-speed industrial sensors, and wireless access points without the need for additional electrical infrastructure. A significant technical highlight is the integration of iPoE Budget Control. This intelligent feature allows the switches to dynamically adjust voltage output to accommodate specific device requirements. This flexibility is critical in scenarios involving varying input power sources, such as emergency power systems utilizing solar panels or DC battery banks, where stable voltage regulation is essential to prevent system downtime.

The primary distinction between the two models lies in their physical port architecture, offering engineers greater design versatility. The LMP-2804G-4XS-24-T is optimized for high-density Ethernet applications, featuring 24 Gigabit Ethernet ports and four SFP+ slots for high-speed fiber uplinks. Conversely, the LMP-2812G-4X8S-24-T provides a hybrid configuration, including 16 Gigabit Ethernet ports, four SFP+ slots, and eight standard SFP ports, making it better suited for complex network topologies that require a mix of copper and optical media.

By centralizing data transmission and power delivery, these switches effectively reduce cabling complexity and streamline troubleshooting workflows. As industries move toward more integrated AI-driven automation and expanded edge compute deployments, robust physical-layer networking becomes the foundation for operational continuity. Antaira’s latest release provides the necessary structural reliability to maintain network integrity in demanding, non-climate-controlled industrial settings.
