The Honeywell FTA-T-01 is a high-reliability Field Termination Assembly (FTA) designed specifically for the Fail-Safe Control (FSC) system architecture. This module acts as the physical and electrical bridge between external field sensing devices and the system's internal I/O interconnection cables. It is engineered to handle 24 discrete digital input channels, providing a centralized and organized terminal point that simplifies both initial installation and long-term maintenance of safety-critical control loops.

By consolidating field wiring onto a DIN rail-mounted PC board, the FTA-T-01 minimizes cable clutter within the control cabinet. Its fail-safe design ensures that digital signals from the plant floor are accurately transmitted to the DCS, making it an essential component for Emergency Shutdown (ESD) systems and Burner Management Systems (BMS) where signal integrity is a fundamental safety requirement.

  • Integrated Safety Fusing: Each of the three channel groups is protected by an individual 250 mA slow-acting fuse. This prevents overcurrent conditions in the field from damaging sensitive upstream PLC or DCS modules.

  • High Voltage Tolerance: The assembly is rated to accommodate field signal levels up to 150 Vdc, providing a wide operational envelope for various industrial sensing technologies.
