The Allen-Bradley 2094-BC02-M02-S is a high-performance Integrated Axis Module (IAM) belonging to the Kinetix 6000 multi-axis servo drive family. This module serves as the primary power and control hub for a drive system, combining the functions of a power converter and a servo inverter into a single, space-saving unit. Designed for 400V-class industrial power grids, it manages the rectification of AC input into a stable DC bus to power adjacent Axis Modules (AM). With its advanced power density and high efficiency, the 2094-BC02-M02-S is engineered to handle complex, high-speed motion tasks while providing the safety and reliability required for modern automated production lines.

Dynamic Power Conversion The module accepts a wide three-phase input range of 324V to 528V AC. It generates a nominal 650V DC bus output, supporting a continuous power rating of 15 kW. For demanding mechanical cycles, the unit can achieve peak power outputs up to 37.5 kW (Series B and later), ensuring the system can handle high-torque surges without voltage sagging.

Integrated Shunt Regulation To manage regenerative energy during rapid motor deceleration, the 2094-BC02-M02-S features a built-in 115 Ω shunt resistor. Rated for 50W continuous and 5.6 kW peak, the shunt activates at 805V DC to protect the DC bus from overvoltage conditions, ensuring the kinetic energy of the load is dissipated safely.

High-Efficiency Thermal Design Boasting an operational efficiency of 97%, the module minimizes waste heat. Power dissipation is strictly managed, ranging from 36W at light loads to 75W at full capacity. This thermal efficiency allows for high-density mounting in control cabinets without excessive cooling requirements.

Safe-Off Functionality As indicated by the "-S" suffix, this module incorporates integrated safety features designed to help meet functional safety standards. This allows for the implementation of Safe Torque Off (STO) functions, protecting personnel and machinery by preventing the drive from restarting while the safety circuit is open.
