The 1756-L55M12 is a high-performance central processing unit within the Allen-Bradley ControlLogix 5555 family. Engineered for large-scale industrial automation, this processor provides a robust platform for executing complex control logic and managing extensive I/O networks. It features 750 kbytes of user memory dedicated to data and program logic, alongside 208 kbytes of specific I/O memory.

This controller is designed for high-speed multitasking, allowing users to execute multiple programs simultaneously with varying priorities. While it utilizes volatile memory for rapid data processing, it relies on a battery-backed architecture to preserve program integrity during power loss. Its chassis-based design ensures seamless communication with other modules across the 1756 backplane, making it a cornerstone for distributed control systems.
